Hi guys.
Can anyone point me in the direct on how to change the road speed for motorways?
I tow a caravan and want to drop the motorway speed down to 60mph but can't see it anywhere in tt5.
Thanks |

You cannot set speed limits for indivdual roads like you could in TT3. However when you navigate to destinations in TT5 you have the option of setting a limited speed in the route type screen. Set this to 60 and Bobs your uncle. If you want you can go to the planning preferances in the settings menu and enable limited speed as your default route type. |

Sorry I missed something. To get the route type screen to appear when you are plannig a route you must first go to the planning preferances and select always ask. Then whenever you plan routes you will have the option of selecting whatever route type you want. |

Thanks guys, that seems to have done the trick, set it to limit at 60 and the times seem a bit more like it.
Cheers |

Thats fine if the road speeds are lower than the legal max, but it's really annoying when you find that about 2 miles away from your destination it starts dropping 5 minutes off the destination arrival time every 15 seconds.
I've raised this directly with TT, and haven't received a reply yet. I can only guess they've gone all PC, and can't possibly entertain scheduling a route above the maximum legal speed limits. If that's the case then surely they could have just issued a disclaimer, and carried on allowing the user to "carry out a theroetical illegal speed schedule..disclaimer by Tomtom..etc.etc" _________________ Tom Tom 1005 v2 World, Garmin Dakota 20, IPhone 4S |
