Hi,
Have just recently bought a 1710 and installed TTN 5 on it, worked great but no full postcode search. Had a look on Tomtom site and eventually found to copy the zip folder to the root of the pda which I did. Problem is it has taken up all the system memory and now, after i start tomtom, it runs for 5 mins then quits out saying there is not enough memory to run it. As the full postcode search is one of the best new features I really don't want to go without it.
tried copying the zip folder to other areas with more room (sd card) but it doesn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated |

On the 1710 you have to install EVERYTHING to SD card to get at least some kind of RAM performance. The postcodes can be installed in the \Storage Card\ZIP\ folder. I'd strongly recommend you move your programs (including TTN5) to storage card, too. _________________ Lutz

I have a 1715 using TT3. I have installed this on the 1715. it does use a lot of memory. But works great. To free up memory i installed it onto the SD card. Then i get the same problem as Adamski, cuts out after 5 min. I would rather have it on the MMC. |

I followed the advice of lbendlin and installed tomtom to the SD card, this did allow me to put the zip folder containing the postcodes onto the SD card as well and give me the full postcode search. I now have enough RAM space to be able to run TTN5 without it crashing out. :D
Thanks for the help and advice. |
