Thanks for the tip Lurch_uk! I've been wondering why I couldn't find any Navigate to contacts option in TT5 on my HP 6325. I took your advice and copied the pimaddin.cab and .ini files to the \Navigator directory and installed the cab file. Works like a charm now.
In doing so I noticed that there are two options available in contacts now: "Navigate to" and "Show address on map"
Thanks! |

Same here, I've re installed the cab file, I'm also 100% sure that my contacts are correct as TT Mobile Navigate to works correctly. Both devices sync with the same Outlook so there is a problem with TT V5 version |

Im getting
'Notification error
Cannot execute \\.\Notifications\NamedEvents\EventWakeUpTomTom'
as well. I can close the window on the PDA but it comes back when I re-synce the PDA. Have reinstalled TTN5 a couple of times.
I'm using an HP 368 with activesync to a hi spec Win XP HE sys.
Did anyone get a work-around for this? Otherwise, everything sees to be working OK. Its annoying but doesn't appear to be fatal. |

I have tt5 and Palm t3. After some trial & error, i fot the contact navigator working. Here is what i did.
Plam has Palm Desktop program which can be used to creat contact info, appointments, pictures etc. In the contacts, i entered all my family/friends address as following:
In Company name, i enteres friends/family's names,
In Work address, i entered their addresses,
Phone, work or mobile phone numbers do not make any difference where you enter them.
After i hotsync to palm t3, all contact's info get entered into Contact Navigator, it seperates home# from street name itself
and when I highlight one and select Show on map or navigate to option, TT5 starta by itself and if your BT on, it show the address on map or creat navigate to map depends on the map you have selected.
It is a really handy tool and you do not have to enter each address in tt5 My favorites list. |

I got TTN 5 to navigate from contacts file by by entering the house no & street then estate, town on one line (seperated by commas)
then City/county, poast code on the next
i.e.
11 New Street, Garden Estate, Sometown, (carriage return after comma)
County Durham, DH1 1HD
If the address was in Birmingham then Birmingham would replace County Durham. It's a bit fiddly to get it right but this has worked for all my contacts up to now. _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. If you want to experience the feeling

|
|
Hi all,
I've read all the threads on this (and other forums) regarding the TomTom 5 contacts "navigate to" and "show on map" feature.
I've tried all the suggestions and reinstalled both Tomtom and the Pimaddin several times, all with no luck.
Every time I press and hold a contact I only get the standard options:
Create Copy
Delete contact
Send email to contact
Beam Contact
When I install the Pimaddin it seems to install correctly and I get all the directories (program files\contact Navigation) and dlls mentioned in the threads, but still no "navigate to" menu option.
Can anyone help? Is this related to the version of PPC that I'm using?
Incidentally, I know Tomtom state that TomTom 5 is NOT supported on the Toshiba PDA's, but I've installed it anyway. Apart from initial problems getting the correct USB driver for the USB - serial cable it installed and works well, except for the “navigate to” contacts feature!
Can anyone help?
Could this be related to the version of PPC that I'm using?
I'd appreciate it if anyone can confirm that they have this feature working on a PDA running PPC 2002.
Regards
Tim Hunt |
