Hi
In the past with Navigator 3.01 I was allowed to install and activate Tomtom s/w to both of my two PDA’s.
I only run one PDA at anytime.
One of my PDA’s has Phone activation and is used for traffic updates and the other PDA doesn’t.
I have installed and activated the PDA for Navigator 5 but cannot do so on the other PDA?
Can you only install this on one PDA?

As with previous versions, you must wait 7 days before install No.2 and 180 days until install No.3.
Notwithstanding this, the licence agreement permits an install on only ONE device at any one time. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The Comments from Tomtom are:
"However, I can only refer you to the license agreement you agreed to when installing the software. TomTom products are sold as personal software which can ONLY be used on ONE device.
For further details please read the license agreement supplied in the URL below:

so in short your stuffed.

It's hardly unfair, do you expect a Microsoft XP Licence to allow multiple installations? As I said, you CAN install to a second PDA after 7 days has passed, it will all work but the licence does not permit this legally. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
I'm confused, I didn't think it was even possible, since TTN generates a auth code based on a hardware hash generation. In order to auth a copy of TTN (3+) you need a device code (hardware hash) product code (comes with the CD) and an activation key, generated by TomTom.
I know this because everytime my iPaq breaks (3 times so far) I have to go through the hassle of proving to tomtom that I have had a repair, and have to fax proof of this to tomtom before they will issue me with a new activation key based on my new hardware code.
Given this I thought it was physically impossible to install it on to 2 PDA's simultaneously.
Just my tuppence.

If you read my response to the initial query you'll see how it is possible _________________ Darren Griffin |
