|
|
Hi all, new here, spent days reading the threads, very informative and gleaned a lot of usefull info before I launched off in to this thread.
I've just bought the upgrade from TTN3 to TTN5 and should arrive anyday (UPS tracking says its out for delivery??)
I run an Ipaq 3850 which died on me and lost everything. I've bought it back to life with a new battery reinstalled key info from backup however not (re) installed TTN.
So my question is shall I reinstall my TTN3 then install the TTN5 upgrade or shall I go straight to TTN5?
Any thoughts/feedback/experience/bright ideas would be most welcomed.
Keep up the good work and thanks in advance.

TT5 can be done from a clean install. In fact this is probably the best way.
Just remember to create a "TomTom" folder or the postcodes won't work. |

UPS man arrived. Installed TTN5 on my Ipaq 3850 no trouble (after reading a few topics on here first!)
Works a dream, well impressed. If you can't get TTN5 to work on your 3850 trying 'blowing it away' :D
Off to sort out the 'srceen shake' now and thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum, made my life a lot easier!!! |

The TomTom site does say tht it works on the Ipq 3870 and the only difference is the bluetooth on the 3870, which TomTom want you to have so that they can sell you all the extras.
I am running it with a Navman 3000 jacket and once it locks on (after about 5 hours ) it is generally OK. |
