Sorry Roger, I thought you were being sarcastic. You wouldn't be the first when it comes to TTN5 (see CJackel492's auto signature above) Laughing

Maxi

No problem. No sarcasm intended, after thinking about it I actually came to the conclusion that it could be quite useful.

Fair point, Changed my Sig now,

Should change it more offen, Laughing Out Loud

Still, lets see how bad TTM5 will be (When TomTom can be bothered to send it!),

Carl,

The way I read it Mobile 5 is just the smartphone version of Navigator 5, i.e exactly the same software, features, maps etc.

Prepare yourself for disapointment.......

It's pretty much exactly the same! Except options for flipping the screen etc are not present.

I'm wondering if there are as many bugs and annoyances?

Carl,

Switching off bluetooth on exit,

App switching,

Unable to restart TT without a reset,

Connectivity with BT GPS devices,

Disclaimer screen popping up at start,

Just to name a few,

Carl,

Clackel492,

I regard TT5 switching BT on and off to be a welcome feature. It is not a bug, but I agree that it is an annoyance for some and should have been made optional.

I have no trouble switching apps while running TT.

I can stop and start TT, and switch my iPaq on and off with it running without ever having had to do a reset.

What's this about BT connectivity? I have used it both with TT BT and a Navman 4100 without any problems.

I have only seen a disclaimer once when I first ran the app. I think I may have checked something to say that I would not want to see it again.

This has been listed as a bug and I consider it a bug,

I can app switch but it's not easy and doesn't always work first time,

You must be one of the luckly ones,

I have the original TT BT GPS and after installing TTN5 it worked for a few hours then would not communicate, needed a reinstall of the BT GPS,

This happens because I have assigned TTN5 to a hard button (For quicker booting) and when powering up using this button, the MMC card doesn't have enough time to initalize before TTN5 has so the disclaimer screen pops up, another known bug,

Carl,

Over the years I must have tried enough GPS hardware and software to be due a bit of luck. Wink
But after much trying I did manage to force TT5 to lock up once today. Everything else on the iPaq seemed to carry on working, but TT required a soft reset to resume normal working. I could probably recreate the situation, but it was not something I would ever imagine doing normally.
