The holux 236 is a good GPS, comes with the latest Sirf III chipset means you can get a signal and dont allways have to be in line of sight to the sky, really small and compact i would recommend you have a look at that. _________________ Regards

Any idea how much the holux 236 costs? Just off the top of your head? |

Thanks for the info. Would the Arkon powered mount mentioned in this forum work well with my system? |

Clifton,
I bought my 236 for about £129. There are quite a few UK retailers with them in stock now.
I've never used an arkon mount yet though... They seem to be the only one that I have noticed so far that cater for the Dell X50 though.
As the bluetooth lasts over 10 hours, you shouldn't need to charge from the mount - you would need to check with retailer if the mount can charge to a mini-usb which is how the 236 charges.
Some stores that have 236's in stock according to their website are www.handnav.co.uk , www.gpsforless.co.uk , www.routeplanners.co.uk to name a few. Search google UK sites for more stores!

The Fortuna Slim is a nice GPS, it too is SiRFStarIII which is the only chipset worth considering nowadays. _________________ Darren Griffin |
