We get the 'SdkFileCalls' directory, but not the other.
So, it looks like on the Palm, menus are done differently |
I have already looked at pocketnavigation.de (translated) and no, Palm users do not have a way to change the menu yet. It was only in their pocketpc section that they got it working.
We'll just have to wait until someone figures out how to change it. |

lo peeps...
I Know this isn't the TomTomGo Forum, but the same works on the TTG (Classic at least) you just need to make sure the folder is called:
SdkRegistry
and the file is called
tomtom.mnu
Linux is case sensitive, dontcha know.

Slightly puzzled. I followed Shrubies' link
http://www.skux.net/tomtom/menubuilder/index.php
and designed my own main menu and preference pages. I created a SDKRegistry folder and put it in the TomTom directory. It worked in part - I had a new menu hierarchy, but a couple of the icons didn't "take", ie they were on the page layout I designed, but didn't appear on the menu when I accessed it on my PDA.
One of the missing icons was Rotate Screen, the other was Restore Factory Default.
For the moment I have deleted SDKRegistry so I am back to the default settings. Has anyone else found this, and if so, is there a fix?

Hi
Am I missing something or has noone foud a way to customise the SUB MENUS. For example when you tap on the NAVIGATE TO icon you are taken to a second level menu. I would like to still do this but customise the second level as well rather than increasing the number of first level pages from 3 to ? _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. I can't see anything there that is definitive and says it works. What do I put, and where do I put it? Examples of the base menues were clear and unambiguous, I was after something similar.
Regretably the German software and the web based menu designer both fail when I try and create preferene menues with them. |

The web based one works ok. When you have got the main and preferences menus looking as you want, you click Create menu and it downloads the .mnu file to your usual download location. Put this into a folder called SDKRegistry and drag an drop that into the TomTom root directory in your PDA. The only problem I had was that a couple of the icons didn't appear - Rotate screen and Restore Factory defaults. I can live without the latter, as deleting SDKRegistry does the same, but I need Rotate screen

Sorry, there's a Union Jack in the top right, then it's all in English!

I have tried building a menu using the web based program, where you paste icons rather than typing out commands. There are 2 icons for rotate screen, one for 90 degrees and one for 180 degrees. The 90 degree icon doesn't work in the menus that I have built. All the others that I have tried work except for Restore factory defaults.
For some strange reason the command for Rotate 90 degrees seems inaccessible, whether you use a text method or one of the menu building programs

Using the web based version in IE 6 and Firefox the right hand pane disappears eventually meaning I no longer have anywhere to drag icons. There is no address on the page for mailing comments. |
