|
|
I got the HP1710 Tom Tom navigation kit at christmas and have just recently upgraded to TT5. It all works fine apart from the postcodes which is one of the functions I upgraded it for.
As far as i can tell the zip folder which contains the postcode info has to be in the ROOT dir of the pda for it to work. As the HP1710 only has a modest main memory size it makes the pda very unstable telling me that the program memory is too low.
So my question is...Is there a way to store the zip folder on the SD card? I have tried putting it in severel locations on the card but carn't get the postcode function to work. |

leave the zip file on the sd card and create and new folder on the sd card called tomtom this file should be kept emty and the the post codes should then work _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Are you trying to enter the postcode in the address window? Press the arrow to get to the second menu page and you will see a Postcode icon. This is the one which takes 7 digit postcodes
