Tom Tom receiver dead ?

Went to use my gps today and could not get a fix, when i checked my receiver, the silver tom tom one, i found that the green flashing light was not working. Do i take it that the receiver has died ? is there anyway of testing it ?
I don`t use it much, surely i can expect more than just over a years life ?

I called Tom Tom myself today and told them of a problem i had. They were very helpful and arranged for an exchange within 5 days, at no extra cost to myself. Saying that mine is under 12 months old. You should however go back to the shop were you bought it from first, should they give you any problems just quote the sale of goods act (For up to six years after purchase (five years from discovery in Scotland) purchasers can demand damages (which a court would equate to the cost of a repair or replacement).
