Can you get free Mio 268 skins please? I have web searched but come up with nothing. I find the default skin is not very good to look at in daylight and the reflection from the glass makes it even harder to see the screen. Any solutions? And another quick question? Can I get a speed camera database for the Mio? I got a free one for the Tom Tom Go but can't find one for this.

Put Mioskins ( all one word) in to google and go to the French MioSkins site - this will tell you how to make skins, use existing ones - I have created a really nice psudo XP backdrop and it is loads better thank the standard one - There are no skins for Map representations though - just the interface.
To achieve this you will need to unlock your mio - sounds more painful than it is - but once you do you will have a fully functional Windows CE device which you can add other programmes to such as Speed alerts, Movie players, etc etc. Those with the 269 will enjoy being able to store all this stuff on the hard drive as you can delete coutry maps that you will never use.
There is an army of people doing stuff with these devices which makes them really usefull for more than there intended single purpose. One really useful trick is to set up your unit to use activesync - helpful for backups and moving files, skins etc around.
Most of the site is in french but use googles built in translation option and you should find it really helpful.
Your Mio is just about to get a lot more interesting!

Thanks Neil. Do you get instructions on how to unlock your system on the same website? I knew I should have stayed at school and not missed that French lesson.
Where do you get the speed alert software from?
Regards
