I know this is cheeky but my friend has just bought a TTG 300 on his CD it shows Gb maps 2004-2005.
Would i be able to load those maps on my TTG classic mine are just 2004 tele atlas
Also are these the latest maps that youve been mentioning on your threads |

The maps for the TTG300 are indeed the most uptodate. The 2004-2005 is not as relevant as the version numbers shown in Show Numbers on Page 6 of Preferences.
To load the new maps on your TTG would require a new activation code because they are being used on another device.
Finally, yes you are being cheeky because it would be illegal, and we don't want to go down that path, do we. _________________ Richard

Technically speaking: Yes these maps are "compatible" with your GO. In real world however, in addition that it would be illegal to copy these, TomTom uses an "activation" code that binds the map to a particular GO before they can be used. Once this "branding" is done, they cannot be used on any other GO.
This is for your own protection, as you will not get in danger doing something illegal. |
