TomTom GO 700 delivery date

Just been told by Maplins that I'm within the first 'batch' of customers to get their 700 and it will be delivered 1st week of July. Anyone beat this ???

Yep - They told me that last month and told me I would have it by 10th June...... erm 8O

I pre-ordered my 700 in April from the navigation company, they phoned me today to confirm my order (and to take payment).

They are expecting their limited delivery of 700s tomorrow onwards and expect it to be with me on wednesday of next week.

I'm not holding my breath, what with all the delays, but will let you know if it turns up on time.

I'm told I'm pre-order number 47 on the mail order from Maplins and their first allocation will be 50 700's.

What worries me is will maplins put their stock into the retail outlets and therefore get an extra £50 (No Vouchers) before they fullfill the mail order/internet customers!

I have been told, that Maplins will fulfill all pre-orders before they hit the stores. The stores I have spoken to have told me that they are not getting them for quite a while and they are mail order only.

Birmingham branch told me 3 weeks ago (Saturday before the bank holiday) that they were getting 300 units of 500's on the following Tuesday, that they would go into QC for 2/3 days and be shipped to pre-orders. At that time they had 298 allocated.
A further shipment was expected a week later.

Here we are today.
