|
|
I am thinking of getting a Tom Tom. However I'm not sure which one i should get, or even if i should consider another make. I liked the feature that let u answer or make calls using the Tom Tom, which drew me to the 500, but is this feature any good?
As far as looking at the 700, if you bought maps of all of wurope for the 500 would that be more expensive than buying a 700?
Any suggestions on a small/all in one GPS unit??
Thanks

What do they consider as major roads of europe? The motoway type?
I was also looking at a Navman IC 510. Which would you reccomend? |

I personally prefer the tomtom software as I think it’s the best user friendly application for satnav. Major roads are as you say motorway and some streets, enough to get you through a country but if you are going tourist scenic routes then you might get into bother. _________________ Regards

Thanks.
So getting to a town or specific location in France would mean getting a 700? Do you know if this hands calling free feature of the 500 is any good?

i have never used the major roads abroad so cant really advise 2 much. The major roads should (is say loosely) take your from city to city or even town to town, I will check tomorrow and get back to you with more information. _________________ Regards

tomtom say that it will have city to city. Some towns will be in it but it will be hit and miss what towns are there as they will have only the major A roads and motorways no B roads or 1 way roads. _________________ Regards
