Is it just my pda or is Tomtom5 even slower than version 3 for typing the city location in?
You click a letter on the keyboard, it turns black and then you have to wait for it to turn clear again before clicking the next letter. It takes approx 2 secs per letter to update.
Is this because i am using a 512mb CF card? |

Just updated mine to TT5,works a treat, lot faster than TT3,very smooth on scrolling ,fast on address finding /post codes ect, a very good upgrade in my opinion :D ,loaded maps on SD card ,took about 10 mins to load all of the upgrade ,only GB maps loaded, via card reader to SD card, and loaded all pocketgps camera data, and all works first class :D _________________ Iphone x 64gb IOS 11.3.1 / IPhone 6 Plus 32gb IOS 12 beta /Volkswagen Scirocco R 280 bhp /Suzuki Vitara swb vvt+ /Suzuki Jimny special/running Apple Mac Mini / Apple air/ iPhone x /6 plus navigation / Apple car-play |

hmmm.
i got the same with my dell axim 50v,i use a ipaq 2210 aswell lot faster, bought the dell as an upgrade but not so sure now, thought it might be the sd card was going to swap them arounf to prove, way i see it as your typing in its looking at the card to try and guess the city your looking for so a slow card could slow it all down, maps draw quick and scroll ok ,...i'll let u know if it i improves with the card |

I had the same problem too. It seems to be my Sd Card. Use the one supplied by TomTom and no problem, copy everything to my Integral 256mb card and city searches slow right down.
Anyone know what make the TomTom supplied cards are? |
