Well,
I ordered, 1 June 12:23 pm
Got order no: 5435xx
- Off on my vacation on Friday
- Reading in the Forum that people ordering after me got their order
- On my knees to support since April
- Rubbish answers from support
- Absolutely no indication that it will be received in time
- Although indicating 5 weeks delivery, first ordered, first delivered is unknown to TomTom
- Product announced in March, still not delivered June 14th
Will I remain as a TomTom customer after this experience?

To all of you who are anxiously awaiting your TTN5 upgrade - perhaps this will make you feel better....
UPS have LOST mine!!!!
That's right... UPS have LOST it!
I came in from work last Thurs to find a card on the doormat from UPS advising me that they tried to deliver a package but no one was at home to sign for it. The card advised me that they would try and deliver it the next day - Friday. I stuck the card on my front door with my written permission for them to leave it in the porch. Came home from work on Friday to find the card untouched. Phoned UPS 8am Saturday morning and they were unable to offer an explanation as to why no delivery attempt was made on Friday. I asked them where the package was and was told it was in their Irlam (Manchester) warehouse. Since it's only a short drive from my home I thought I would cut out the middle man and pick up myself - no can do I was told - all undelivered packages are locked up until Monday. Monday came and went - card still stuck on door! Phoned them again this morning and they searched their Irlam warehouse and guess what - they can't find it!! They have advised me that there is little if any chance of them now being able to find it and that they will now instigate a formal search procedure which lasts 8 days - at the end of which I will receive some claim forms in the post to enable me to claim back the value of the goods.
Can you believe this crap! I now have to try and convince TomTom that I am not pulling a fast one and that UPS have really lost it. Just had my credit card statement and it's on there so I have now paid for goods that have either been lost or nicked!
Now doesn't that make you feel better!!!
Cheers

On the plus side, the 14 days I've now been waiting has given me a chance to read all about it and cancel. |

Order number: 5503xx
Order time: 6-2-2005 (at approx. 11am)
Still waiting for mine, having to rely on a downloaded copy for now until i get it through (and yes that is legal - incase people decide to flame me for it - as i've paid my money, which means I own a license to run the software, not the specific CD they're sending me)...
Still looking forward to recieving the full thing though! |
