|
|
I installed France Plus and Spain Plus (should I only bother with 1 plus version? Is the Plus purely that it has major roads of Europe in it too, hence why would I need it twice?) and also GB Plus onto a spare 1gig SD card.
When I start TT5 with this card in, it only sees the France and Spain maps? There is a slight chance the SD card has a problem. Can anyone else think of a reason only 2 of the 3 maps show up? Can it be to do with me having GB Plus on my main memory card? _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

Each plus map has all the major roads of Europe integrated on the same map.
So two plus maps is still two maps.

Yes, I realise that. What I mean is if Major Roads is 100 meg lets say, GB Maps are 90meg, France is 140meg and Spain is 120meg.... if...
GB Plus would then be 190, France Plus 240 etc...
But, the same Major Roads would be used 2 or 3 times? Cause its just a taked on Major Roads? _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

Yes, you only need one plus map and the rest can all be standard maps and this will save about 100MB per map.

Thanks, thats what I suspected, after I installed them
Anyone know why the GB maps wouldn't show up on the second SD card though? _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

Also no point as having the Uk as the Plus map as when you leave the Uk you'll have a opportunity to change it. _________________ iPAQ 2110

In fact, for an overseas trip, if you can navigate to the ferry/tunnel using the Major Roads of a non-GB PlusMap then you don't need the GB map at all.
