|

A quick question - I have seen varying reports on which com port is used for a Bluetooth connection. On my device - h4150, the bluetooth serial ports in BT manager are Outbound (Com 6) and Inbound (Com 8 ). Which should I be using?? TIA. |

It is ALWAYS the outbound port. In your case COM6. _________________ Lutz

I'm glad you said that - it explains why I can't get TTN5 to work correctly as I don't have COM 6 as an option, only 8. Any idea how to get this to appear - I did have TTN3 installed previously and uninstalled this prior to TTN5 so it may have been a legacy of that. |

Don't know if this helps, but I too couldn't find my com port at first. But in reality it was there all the time.
After selecting the baud rate I was given a list of ports.
Further down the list were some odd sounding options (to me) which ran off the edge of the screen so that I could not actually see the com port number attached to the options.
It was only by selecting things from further down that I could tell mine was actually listed.
I can't remember what the option was, but it may have said something about a serial port, not sure. |

I know what you mean as my BT Serial com Port 8 is like that (goes off screen) although you can see it once you tap on it as it changes to a smaller font. My problem is the port I actually need is com port 6 and it is definitely not there. I'll doa hard reset and install TomTom first. |
