Hello all newbie here. Please help!
Ibe gor a 3630 with a 3450 navman jacket. Its worked superbly with smart street and then with tom tom 2 for the past couple of years. Mo problems.
Now ive taken to upgrading to the TTN5 software and on first impressions i was very impressed. Much faster than before and planned a route well. etc etc.
Unfortunatly i put it in the car and can i find any sats? Can it hell.
Its been sat there for 2-3 hours and while it can (using the gps status thingy) see the sats it carnt get a full fix!!! its useless.
I would really like to get this thing going so am open to all sugestions. |

The first suggestion is "Please don't double-post". Sometimes the forum is slow to register that your post has been accepted and people are submitting their posts two or three times.
As for the Navman sleeve, it appears to work for some but not others. How did you configure the GPS receiver in TTN5? Do you still have the Navman Serial driver installed on your PPC? _________________ Tim |

appologies for the double post. its difficult to get onto the forums. A little impaitent!. Sorry.
Anyways. ive for the 3.16 navman serial driver installed prior to installation of the tomtom5. The daurrate set at 57000 or something like and it selected as the navman driver. All other options (including diff baud rates) come as no gps device. As it is i get no signal.
Ive reset the ipaq to remove anything that could be causing a conflict and reinstalled but to no avail.
Im stuck! |

Seems like we have another Navman Jacket user with little or no performance from TTN5 in the car, but it works fine outside.
See my thread here on the problems I am having.
It appears there is a pattern emerging.
Perhaps we can start to document what versions of Navman Rom we are using. Visit this link and download the 'GPS info for pocket PC'. Install and run on your iPaq when you have the Navman Jacket attached. It will tell you the version of receiver SW (at the bottom).
For reference mine is 2.1.1M01325 BW A, Navman iPaq 2.1.2 |
