Navman SmartSt V3 PiN 300 all preinstalled. I was wondering if lets say for example it crashed and I have to do a complete reinstall, is there a keycode required? I have the product key for the Pocket PC disk but not for the Navman disks. Should I have a Keycode? There is a number on the box but I dont think it is the product key. |

The SmartST application and software discs should be in a cardboard box/sleeve.
On the back of the box should be a sticker, on it will be the version, in your case SmartSTv3 for PPC, and two barcodes one for the application and one for the map data. Above each bar code will be a product key.
In the event of a reinstall you can either retrieve the product information direct from Navman via the desktop application under 'Tools' assuming you have registered the product online, otherwise you will need these keys to reactivate the software and maps in the vent of needing to reinstall the software to the PiN. _________________ Ian.

Mmmmm I have neither on my box only a small sticker quoting a nine digit alpha numeric number. The unit has not been registered online.
Should I go online and register, will this also give me my product keycode? |

The product keys are usually 16 digit alpa-numeric.
You only need to register and activate the SmartST V3 Application Product key once. If the application is registered then you can skip subsequent request to enter the application key.
There is no harm in trying to register, although for the normal PPC you need to enter the product key in order to register and activate with the Navman servers. It may be that because the PiN software is pre-installed the application is pre-registered and activated already but I would have still expected you to have product keys.
Tyr retrieving from the desktop as suggested in my other post. _________________ Ian.
