Can POIs (Aldi & Lidl) be added to Medion Navigator 4.3 without having to subscribe to POIWarner? I can access the required data files in .ov2 or .asc format but cannot find any way of making them show on the PDA. There is the option 'show POI's Yes/No' but I cannot find the POI files already built in (McDonalds and post offices). Are these separate files or built into the basic map data?
I understood subscriptions were required for cameras but free for other data. Have I got the wrong end of the stick? |

No, Medion Navigator can only use the overlays that POI-Warner places over the maps.
There are lots of built in poi's in Medion Navigator via the Special destinations tab. |

hi beeley
I have added pois ( about 700) to medion navigator on my md95000 without suscribing to poi warner. The pois were french camping "aires" .I havn' t tried to add any others , I use TomTom in the uk. Don't see why you need poi warner if you don't need advance warning. You have to have the correct format for the medion navigator software.
I am sorry but I can't tell you exactly how to convert and enter the pois. the ones I used had been configured for the medion version navigator , I put them in the POI folder containing the ALDI pois.
I am sure that someone in these forums can help you , there is free file conversion software available.
Keep asking and searching ? |

Thanks for the reply. I do not have a POI folder on my PDA (at least I cannot find it) or ALDI POI's on the maps. Can you suggest where to look please? |
