TTN5: Navigating from one arbitrary point to another

Is is possible in TTN5 to navigate from one arbitrary point on the map to another?

I like to check out routes in advance, so I often find that I want to know what the recommended route would be from one point on the map to another, even if I'm not physically at the start position.

In TTN3 I was able to do that by browsing the map, tapping a point and choosing 'set as departure', then when I navigate to another point with the GPS receiver switched off, I'd get the option of using my specified point as the start point.

In TTN5, the map browser seems to have been simplified, and the 'set as departure' option is no longer there.

Have I missed something?

Yes you can. Start up tomtom and tap the screen to access the menu.

Tap the arrow once to go to screen 2 and then tap the icon for "Advanced planning". Select your departure point using any of the methods shown, including using the map to browse around and pick a point.

Once you have picked your departure point then pick your destination. Once you have done that TomTom will do a sample route between the two points.
