I can only get them to talk if I tell TTN5 that I am using an "other" GPSr. Is this right?

I don't think so, mine worked when set to TomTom Bluetooth. Then again I used to use both settings before on TTN3 with no problems. I'm not actually sure that there's any difference?
Mine's an iPAQ hx4700 |

Thank you for the reply.
I prodded and poked it. A few hard resets later and it decided that it was fine with detecting the old TTN bluetooth receiver as a proper TomTom Bluetooth Receiver. Strange but true.

I find it works better when set to a generic bluetooth receiver as this does not turn the bluetooth on the PDA off when exiting TomTom. |

If bluetooth is turned off when exiting TomTom.
Is it turned on when starting TomTom when using the original TomTom Bluetooth GPS setting?
My upgrade was delivered yesterday but other commitments meant that I could not install last night, so I would like to know if I need to set to 'Other GPS' when I do install tonight to avoid having to turn bluetooth on everytime I start TomTom.
TIA
