|
|
I'm waiting for my upgrade to v5 to come (551XXX still in warehouse) and thought it'd be a good time to get a new SD card. Does anyone have any recommendations for a fast 1Gb SD card, I dont want to end up in the same boat as when I got my 256Mb one when I first bought TT (slow and locked up so had to buy another!)
Thanks in advance

I just ordered a Kingston 512MB Elite from some strange company somewhere (xlshop.com or something like that). It is due to be delivered tomorrow or friday. If I remember I will benchmark it in Pocket Mechanic. It has to be faster than the 1GB Bytestor thing I am using at the moment. |

Oh man, is your PDA's port only 1 bit?
If it also has 4-bit, get a Sandisk UltraII SD. |

I can't find any official specification that says it has a 4bit port. I would be intrested in other peoples card speed tests for this model ipaq. This is so far the fastest card i have had in it. |

Continued... With those exact options mentioned above turned on. I can get the card to do a lot faster with different options:
Doing a read only test of random sectors, 128 sectors per block with no variance it will do 8.9x (1.30MB/s) using Pocket Mechanic as the benchmark. |
