I don't think I've laughed so much for ages - all the energy spent on finding out when orders for the TT5 upgrade are being processed and despatched and who's in front of whom in the queue....
It'll still get you to the same place, in the same vehicle as TT3!!
It's only been a week - lighten up!! |

You're right of course. I am sitting here working at my desk with the laptop nearby, and I cannot believe the number of times I have visited the TomTom site to check the (lack of) progress with my order. And it does rankle that some with order numbers 4000 or so later than mine have had theirs shipped!
I think I will turn the laptop off..........soon, but not just yet!

tomtom rage occurs every year at or around the May bank holidays.
followed by tomtom anger which like hayfever lasts the summer
until tomtom bliss reapperas with version x.x7! in the autumn.
I think channel 5 have a documentary planned....... _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

The Nav 5 USA upgrade does not even start until June 18 (Quoted by TomTom support). Where does that leave me? I don't even have a link to click for an upgrade. |

It leaves use using a fully functional TT3. Upgrading is not compulsory - if TT3 does what you want it to do, stick with it and save some money. |

My reason for being so keen is I'm going away on holiday very soon, and for some reason tomtom 3 seems to keep bombing out on me nearly every time it's about to speak directions.
Hoping at tt5 is pretty much a rewrite on the common platform build that the problem is cured. And yes it is annoying to see people who ordered thousands of orders later already having their product. |

I've just been on a 1200 mile touring holiday in 50 year old car thus no Sat Nav but a very reliable (well reasonably reliable...) navigation method called a wife with a map.

WHAT a wife who CAN READ maps, I don't believe it!
I had to got to a place in Peckham (I knew it was in London but not which part), directions my boss give me to get to the firms depot,
Go to Battersea & turn left, it's on the right.
Worked for me.
Sat.Nav. is just a useful toy for me at the moment but when I DO need it it WILL do the biz. _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. If you want to experience the feeling

Possibly the best upgrade money could buy...... Ouch! Put that rolling pin away!!!
And now for something slightly ironic. I've just installed my TT5 upgrade that arrived this morning but I have nowhere to go until Sunday - how can I fill the hours between now and then......?? |
