TTN5 doesn't use any hardware keys. But you can have CheckPOInt or other programs running in the background (and assigned to a hardware key) . You may need to use a GPS signal splitter like GPSGate to serve the NMEA data to both applications. _________________ Lutz

It is not that hard in TT4 - tap screen - Tap "New favourite" - Tap "GPS Position" - it will defallt to a favourite called by the current road name - Tap Done. This takes a couple of seconds - so when you stop driving, go to map, search for the Favorite, click on the map where you think the camera actually is based on this favourite - add that position to the relevant POI file - and name it as what you like. You can then go and tidy up the favourites later.
TT5 should be exactly the same. |

Hi I don't mean to turn the "vibe" in this forum topic negative, but has ANYONE actually received their upgrade yet from TomTom???
Mine still states "warehouse" on their site under my tomtom/orders.
Please could someone tell us what the "warehouse" actually means!?!?!
I am thinking... warehouse=5weeks...
Also isn't it illeagal to take money from peoples accounts and not ship the goods to customers!?!?
Cheers,

Nope, it's not even illegal to do so. |

If you check your bank they will not have taken the money yet. |

Lutz,
I've probably misunderstood what your saying but does that mean you can run TTN5 with CheckPoint if you have GPSGate? I have a GPSGate license so I would like to be able to do that as TTN5 doesn't handle pois anywhere near as good as CheckPoint.
If it is possible what settings do I need GPSGate set to? |

use the standard settings - link GPSGate to the receiver, assign a virtual output port, and then point all applications to that port. _________________ Lutz

I got an e-mail this-morning stating that my upgrad has been dispatched and I could track it on UPS - but when I cut 'n paste TT's tracking ref code onto the UPS site it couldn't trace it!
I trust it's on its way, anyway. |

Please correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm after the additional Europe maps, isn't it cheaper to buy TT3 then take the upgrade path for an additional €59 which equates to around £40?
Clint. |

Does anyone know if the upgrade will be available from any other company. The delivery charge seems a bit expensive |

Hi guys,
I have received my TOMTOM N 5 upgrade today, in Belgium.
I've ordered it the first of June in the morning, I was waiting on the web site for the upgrade link to be operational.
Now I have to install it and enjoy !!! |
