|

Hi, I'm a newbie here, having purchased my 510 less than a week ago, and find it very good, but not an authority on how it compares with others.
I read somewhere on this forum someone expressing extreme disatisfaction with the optional remote controller. I think I might need one, but would like to hear from others if they are having problems with it as well, or is this an isolated case.
Many thanks. |

I would say the total lack of instructions provided with the remote is poor.
Operation is fine throughout the car, but you do need to be pointing at it fairly directly. |

I've just used mine for the first time this weekend. Does make it easier to skip through menus etc when the Navman is fastened to the windscreen.
Straight forward enough to use, not sure if instructions are needed as the buttons match the controls on the Navman.
Has to be pointed directly at the unit as it seems to be quite directional.
Did find it handy and glad I got it. |

Thanks all, seems like it is worthwhile, but not as well executed.

I find it very easy to use and invaluable in the car for safety reasons. By the way, I only paid £14 for it from Amazon, which I was very pleased with. |
