Rerouting/back on track

Does the TTG automatically recalculate the route (like the Navman ICN630) if you miss a turn or do you need to tell it to recalculate ? I want to buy one for my wife and I find this feature very useful on my Navman.

The GO automatically recalculates. You can ignore the instructions if you want to and she doesn't get cross!

As soon as it realises that you've strayed from the Chosen Path towards the Dark Side (ie after about 50-100 metres) it will issue a "Turn around if possible" instruction.

Ignore this and it will automatically recalculate based on your original calculation choice (fastest, shortest, avoid motorways etc).

This works very well, and very quickly.

Since I installed software v 5.1, it now re-calculates so quickly that often Jane doesn't get a chance to say "turn around...." before it's done it.
Sometimes I'm not sure if this is good or not.

For me she always has recalculated anyway. If she still thinks the origonal route was the best then she will tell you to turnround.
