I Recently copied the contents of my FAT 512 MB SD card to my hard drive. Then I reformatted the SD card as FAT32 and copied the old contents back to it from the hard drive. The icn510 now seems to be a whole lot faster. Zoom, Pan and routing all seem to be better.
It also went from 60 MB available to 68 MB available on the SD. |

Two short questions:
* How did you format the SD card for FAT32. Via a card reader or any special tool
* How did you backup the SD Card to get a critical files over.
Thanks in advance |

I just reformatted my 128 SD as FAT32 - works fine (bit surprised) but no solid speed difference for me.
I'll test out more (with a bigger card as well) to see if it improves the problems I have read about 2G cards (apparently with >1G Maps you have to deactivate others to work)
BTW, the standard format of the Navman SD card is FAT12 (labelled 'FAT' in W2K format) |
