hey, I am as new as they get to the world of GPS, but I know some very basic concepts. I was introduced to this GPS world by a friend of mine who is using a bluetooth Holux GR-230, and I loved how smooth it was with the tomtom software on his Dell Axim......
I own an older Pocket PC, the Toshiba e740.
I purchased a Billionton CF bluetooth adaptor, iNav iGuidence for North America, and I got it to work with the Holux bluetooth reciever for about 10 min, it then cuts out and loses the bluetooth signal. I then used Navigator software with the same overall problem.
Billionton reps told me it was unavoidable, that there is some shield getting in the way and I would need a CF GPS recieber.
I just found out about some updated for the e740, so I am updating the ROM to a 1.06.23.
my question is, which GPS reciever if any will work for my needs, which is to basically use the PDA in the car for navigation purposes.
can I get the Holux-GR 230 to work? or is a CF solution a must, which CF solution is worth it? how about the SysOn? or will I need an external antena as well.
thanks in advance, sorry if these are really basic questions, I have been searching without any SOLID answers.

well for those interested, I have upgraded my OS from 18 to 23 on the e740 and with the billionton CF bluetooth card, so far I am able to connect to the Holux GR-230 without any interuptions.
I was connected last night for an hour. I will try and take a drive somewhere tonight to see if it is stable.
