Hi,
I have three problems which I believe are connected that I can't get to the bottom of, please can someone help me.
I am trying to resolve the problem of bluetooth constantly trying to connect.
Firstly I downloaded a bluetooth tweaker which worked fine until I had to do a hard reset. When I put it back on the PDA it says "Widcomm registry key not found" and does not work. So I then decided to adjust the registry manually.
When I follow the instructions to adjust the registry I can get as far as HKLM/software/Btconfig.......................but I then can't find "Autoconnect".
Finally if I go into the "GPS status" within TomTom I select "Pharos igps-180" then BT serial port com8, when I then put a tick in the box the tick vanishes, and once agin it doesn't work.
Please help as I really don't know what to do next!! |

Are you willing to do a hard reset? I am pretty sure this will resolve all your issues. But you have to do a backup before and a restore after, or you reinstall everything from scratch. _________________ Lutz

What PDA do you have, and how did you perform the hard reset? _________________ Lutz

Ibendlin,
I have an HP 2210, the hard reset was done by pressing two buttons on the front at the same time that the reset button on the back of the unit was pressed. I then left it about 30 seconds before turning the unit back on.
I also installed the 1.10 rom update, and this made no difference.

after your procedure above, did it ask you to calibrate the screen? _________________ Lutz

This doesn't sound like a hard reset has been performed ! I know with my 2210 it's very difficult to actually get it right and it does a soft one instead . Its not until turns itself back on and you hear a whistling sound and the display shows the screen needs calibrating that you know you you've been succesfull
