Spewy,
I agree with you - it took over 3 hours to load 1/2 of the UK map to my SD card, before I gave up (COM serial connection).
I have now loaded it using my home PC (USB) but it still took over 40 minutes to load 92Mb.
I have seen the new ROM - any news? _________________ ______________________________________

You had me all excited there for a minute Dave - I thought 2.5 must have proper post code searching at least.
Unfortunately the version is only 2.05!!
Oh well.

has anyone had an email from TomTom about this - I thought the whole point of the registration process would be notification emails of updates.... yet I have had nothing since the voucher code for the original upgrade.
I know emails cost a fortunee to send but............... |

I've installed but not tried in the field, and haven't yet received anything from Tom.
Doesn't fix my gripe of loud volume when exiting, but still. _________________ What's going on? Where am I? |

TomTom have just released TomTom Navigator 2.05. This new version contains the following enhanced features:-- Improved "warm GPS reset" management, preventing unnecessary GPS re-initialization (for example, after you disconnect your PocketPC for a few minutes)
- Support for the new TomTom Wireless GPS (Bluetooth)
- A problem was fixed that could interfere with the Media Player on XDA devices (or other devices with less than four programmable hardware buttons)
- Extra start-up code now prevents German-language versions of the PocketPC Operating System from initializing the GPS driver to "COM:3"
- Small graphic improvements to the GPS log/playback
The new version can be downloaded from TomTom's website. |
