Hi,
I've just purchased a new 256MB SD card to give me some more room on my Go (classic), but how do I go about installing all my info from my PC via the disc onto this new card? I tho't all I needed to do was insert new card into Go, run disc and back-up from PC, but all I get is this message..
Backup/restore operation could not complete successfully. Please check all connections and ensure that a Storage Card is inserted into your TomTom GO.
Do I have to start afresh with the disc and v4.2 and reinstall everything again.....? |

PS everything is properly connected, and the picture of the SD card is flashing whilst clicking thru the disc menu etc... |

Ah-ha no matter... you have to firstly reinstall the MAP (GB) then 'back-up' the rest from the PC. |

The backup/restore only backs up the settings etc.
To Backup the whole SD card you have to do it in Windows Explorer and copy every file on the SD card to the PC. If you right click the TomTom Drive and select copy then right click your chosen folder on the PC and chose paste. That's all. _________________ Richard
