Hi Walter, I can confirm that postcode routing is not available currently.



TBH, comparing SmartST Pro to TomTom Navigator, it's much better. TomTom Navigator is quite sluggish when it comes to trying to enter a database because it tries to do a character by character lookup.



With SmartST Pro, you just type in the area, wait a few seconds, and a popup list will appear allowing you to select the area, then you select this and start typing the road/street. You then wait for another second or two, and a popup list appears allowing you to select the correct location, and you then do the same with house number.



It would be nice to use postcode as this is what I always use on AutoRoute to lookup addresses, as it's much quicker. I believe part of the reason was that implementing this across the whole of Europe when the European maps come out, would be difficult.

I understand from the FAQ on the 3400, that destination is selected by "house number". The implied meaning from some of the remarks from Navman is that UK postal code routing is not supported.



Can you confirm this? If postal code routing isn't supported, how much more cumbersome is entering a random destination address?
