Hi,
I have the Ipaq 3970 with the Rom ver. 2.0, when I was using TTN1 (ver 1.5) my SD type storage card was used to put the maps on, anyway, when I upgraded my ipaq to the rom ver. 2.10 the TTN1 became very slow searching and would hang up, so i changed back my ipaq to the original 2.0 rom. I now have the new TTN2 (ver. 2.05) has this problem been fixed by TT and will it be safe to upgrade my ipaq to the newer rom ver. 2.10 ?.
many thanks for your help.

The problem you were experiencing isn't a problem with TomTom, the problem is with the Rom update, it slows ALL data down transferring to SD cards. This is a known problem that has been reported to HP. |

Maybe PJM3 got confused with 1.11 for the non-Bluetooth 39xx series.
That was issued to fix a bug that only affected the non-Bluetooth x.10 ROM - a rather silly one where it limited the maximum processor speed to 300MHz.
2.10 for the 3970/3975 wasn't affected by this problem.
