This is most likely the software for the upcoming GO 500.

Most important change for Classic and GO 300: 20-30% faster route calculation...

Whats the big secret? Why can't they give a quick rundown of the changes?

What did we pay £61 for if its now for free download or is the postcode bit still part of the map file?

You've paid for the maps, not the software. That was a free download every time before...

The changes are as follows:

For all current versions of GO there is a route calculation speed improvement of about 20%. There is a fix for the GO300 and Traffic connectivity, obviously not much use to those of us with original GOs.

Most of the rest of the changes are for the GO500 which will use the same software.

I have the TTG 300 and can't access the new update.

Tried on 3 different computers and different internet connections.

Any ideas please?

That is because the TomTom servers have gone into overload mode.

Too many people are trying to download the software at the same time. With a 5Mb download size and some people will have slower connections.

If you leave it until later or tomorrow then you may have more joy.

Thanks. Thought thats what it maybe. I'm on O2 PAYG and bought a bluetooth phone just for the 300 and been trying to get connected but never could. So the update will hopefully help.

I emailed TT and about 4 days later i got an email back but not to much use i'm afraid.
