|
Does anyone have the faintest idea what is going on here?
For ten months I have had perfect results from a combination of HP2210, Rikaline 6010 and TT3.03.
Over the last two weeks my system has failed - first it started taking the first few minutes of any journey to get a fix (mostly telling me I was going backwards initially) and it appeared to have gone down to 3 or 4 satellites rather than the 5, 6 or 7 I had previously been getting. Then after taking longer and longer it does not now give any useful output at all. I can do the journey setting and a 'demo route' fine, but as soon as it tries to find where it is, things go wrong.
It is as if a battery has been running down and is now flat, but this cannot be the explanation as I have it hard-wired in the car.
Any ideas gratefully received - even if it is only to suggest which component I should replace first! |

To me this sounds like a dying receiver. Can you try with soneone else's receiver? _________________ Lutz

Had similar problems with my 6010 (after only a couple of months) and it was replaced by Rikaline |

Thank you. Rikaline will not replace mine as they say it is the retailer's responsibility, but since I bought it on e-bay I am rather sunk.
So I need to buy a new wired GPS mouse. Does anyone know if there is anything to choose between the TomTom one ant the Rikaline one apart from a few pounds. I'm feeling distinctly disinclined towards Rikaline just now! |
