|
|
Hi, new to the whole GPS thing.
I have just got wayfinder for my Sony Ericsson and noticed that the Royaltek RBT-1000 supports SBAS. I know this CAN make things more accurate but what are the ups and downs of enabling this?
Also, is EGNOS all up and running here in the UK.
Many Thanks |

Just try it - as you correctly state it can only makes things better, not worse.
Somebody recently posted here that EGNOS is now live - that sounds too good to be true but hey - it's worth a shot.
SBAS reception is best in the southern UK - the bird is sitting over the equator after all. _________________ Lutz

does it cause lag when driving at speed? I have only seen SBAS mentioned when using XTrak which can cause lag but no mention of it when using NEMA or whatever it is. |

SBAS has nothing to do with XTrac ( apart from the fact that most chipsets are not powerful enough to support both ) and will not cause any lag. _________________ Lutz
