hi all, just to give the guys at navman a big cheer, as i heard some of you have had problems when contacting them. whilst installing sp1 to my 510, unfortunately something happened and completely froze my unit on the blue navmann car screen. nothing i could do would release it. i called navman technical support 24 hours later and one of their guys talked me through a procedure, and within 15 minutes he had my navman working fine again!
so its not all doom and gloom with those lads, credit where credit is due, they were excellent!!! :P |

That's good to hear. I've had to phone them once and I have found that you get a much clearer response by phone than you do if you email them. |

..i say again, after dealing with all the major nav products and helplines, navman are the quickest and best at dealing with customer problems. But do phone them! |

So what did they tell you to do, just in case one of us gets the same problem? _________________ Navman iCN 520 |

I would watch that, It clearly states that this procedure should be carried out while on the phone to tech support. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

Hi folks
I too have had a frozen iCN510, happens all the time it seems when putting in extra maps? Anyway, a nice man at navman sorted it and I hope to post the solution soon once I've written it down clearly.
Best of luck, Mike, Lincoln |
