hi i tried to install speed camera data on to destinator with no success. this was following a link in destinator posts in here. (see under destinator chat)
it installed fine but doesnot work.
installation of destinator to acer can cause problems, however do not worry. it can be sorted out.

hi cyclopos,
1. acer or destinator seem to give very litle info to be comforatable in ho to install.
2. then even the cd doesn't give that much info. re: trouble shooting
3. first disable ur firewall in ur main machine.
4. i had a problem in connecting with the cable so after many goes i connected via irda ports.
5. then installing maps; another story. it said many times maps not installed properly. but after many times deleting and reinstalling on advice from this site i tried jut the same.
6. and it worked just the same.
7. so far i didnot have problems with round abouts.
8. so far i could not install afety camera database.
if u read the query i raised some time back in this same forum u will understand.
regards. |
