Just noticed that the upgrade date is showing 'Mid May'..

Has this date slipped, I seem to remember May, but not mid May. |

I have just received the following reply from TOMTOM support regarding the upgrade. I hope that this helps.
Dear Mr *****,
The upgrade path for TomTom Navigator will be availible later this month. We have not yet set an exact date. Please keep checking our website for the latest information about product availiblilty.
We hope to have answered your question to your satisfaction.
With best regards,
The TomTom Customer Support Team
Hopefully it will be here for the Bank Holiday at the end of the month as I am going away and would love to be able to play with the new version! _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

Experience when TTN3 came out was that those who ordered as soon as it was announced had to wait about 4 weeks, so I wouldn't hold your breath for the Spring Bank Holiday!!

It will be interesting to see how they handle the upgrade, TT appear to have an in consistent upgrade policy for V5.
If you are a GO user you can download V5 for free, Mobile users have to purchase V5 even though Mobile was released after GO.
One option for Navigator V3 users would be to offer a free download of the V5 application, and a chargeable map update. This approach would get over the four week delivery time.
The other thing thats strange is the V5 announcement says you can buy V5 at the end of May whereas the upgrade is mid May.
Add to this the new TomTom PLUS service and like another post has suggested Navigator is not a priority product any more, GO & the PLUS services will generate higher returns, than a £30 PDA upgrade... |
