|
|
Thought it may be useful, to see who has purchased the news maps from Tomtom, and are awaiting delivery.
I ordered mine on 26th April, and they have been sitting at a payment authorised, and in the 'warehouse' ever since! Surely it doesnt take that long to post them
Anyway, just wondered who had ordered, and what the state of your order is? Dispatched, still in warehouse etc. Could give us all some hope who have ordered and our status of order hasnt changed |

i ordered mine in the 25th. i subsquently tried to cancel but they said that it was now in progress and i could return once recieved, (they never gave a date). I had hoped that it would of been distributed now, but it still says at warehouse, i am hoping that their online tracking system is a little behind and that it has been sent. If i do recive, i'll let you know, so i suppose you could assume that it will come a day later... |

Yep me too, Paid on the 26th order still in Warehouse, and debited my barclaycard already.
Hope these new maps are well worth the 5 weeks waiting time.

According to tomtom the delivery is quoted as being 5 weeks if that being the case nobody should receive the upgrade until the first week in june!!
unless anyone has got theirs already

Very probably.
I am sure the maps are not available yet (hence the 5 week delivery time).
TomTom have no right to charge for something before it is actually dispatched.
Their complete disregard of buyers' rights is very worrying and completely unacceptable. _________________ JOHN |

I too ordered the map upgrades on 25th paid 147 euros. Taken from my c card. Found out i didn't need both upgrades for UK and western Europe. Tried to cancel (same day) tt said i could not. With order status "in the warehouse" complained last night again. They have now cancelled my FULL order, not just the GB part as requested. Fine, but Ive tried to place a new order for western maps only and the site wont except my Production code. I checked it against the one store on my details at tt and it is correct.
any ideas.
PS keep asking for tt to cancel the unwanted orders. They cant keep you money for 6 weeks.
Just found out tt have BLOCKED my Product codes why? |

Surely the new maps must be available. I take it that the TTG is being sold around Europe and each one will be sent out with an SD card with the Country of the new owner on it. So why won't they release the maps on SD for other countries or the MOWE yet? And why quote 5 weeks for the updates? |

Tom Tom will not send out any Updates until we have had 7 full working days coolin of period, should we wish to cancel, this I beleive is now a legal requirement. It is also a Legal Requirement if paying in advance to give a delivery date, the up to five weeks is not good enough. I do not think this type of Business Practice is Legal.
The seller Tom Tom, must provide clear and comprehensible information to enable the consumer to decide whether to buy.
This must include:
The seller's name and, if payment is required in advance, his/her postal address
a description of the goods or services
the price including all taxes
delivery costs where they apply
arrangements for payment
and date for delivery
the right to cancel the order
how long the offer or the price remains valid

Something very strange is happening here, I checked my Barclaycard on the 27th April and Tom Tom had taken monies for my Map Upgrades. Yesterday I sent them an Email asking Tom Tom why they had debited my card when my order was still showing Warehouse. I had a reply from Tom Tom saying that they had not debited my card, and will not until the goods have been shipped, which will be in the near future (No specific date). I then looked at my online Barclaycard Statement and hey presto no trace of it????.
Just wondered if this has happend to you too.
I have a strange feeling that Tom Tom have no stock as yet (although TTg300 I here is available and supposed to have the lastest maps)
I wonder if they read this Forum?
