|
|
Got my 300 yesterday - thank you Maplins, nice little numbered certificate with it too!
One of my cars has the silly windscreen that stops the GPS, it does work, just, but you lose the signal too frequently.
If I have to buy the external antenna anyway I thought I may as well 'install' the unit in one of the cars flip up cubby holes.
After the waffle, my question please is, does the external antenna install like the original GO or indeed is it the same one? The unit only just fits in so if it's a relatively big unit that has to be hooked on to the bottom like the origianl GO it won't fit.
Cheers

The external antenna is attached to a base that replaces the end of the suction cup arm that you get with the Tomtom GO so to answer your question, no it won't fit, its the same. |

Has anybody any experience of this Re-Radiating Antenna.
http://www.gpsw.co.uk/details/prod444.html
Reading the info I imagine I could install the external antenna outside the vehicle then still install the Go in the dash and have the secondary antenna in the cubby hole with it.
Thanks |

Should have looked first - just found a review on the site for this.
Think I'll buy one and give it a try. |

Thanks Jimbo, unfortunately I've ordered the other one now, if it does the job I'm happy, if not I'll return it and try one of yours.
