change route

hi is there anyway i can get tom tom to avoid certain roads eg motorways
b4 i start on my journey
i know that sometimes it takes me by the motorway even though its 10 miles further im using tomtom 3.07 on ipaq 3700

you have two options

1) use Permanent aviods. Show the motorway ont he map, then in the menu select "Avoid area" and then adjust the rectangle so it covers just the motorway. Tap OK and this area will now be avoided (well, mostly)

2) with a route planned, tap the navigation screen, tap "Alternatives" and specifically select the motorway you want to avoid. Note: this is a temporary solution, you'll have to do this over and over again for each new trip

3) Set the road speed of motorways lower so that they will not be preferred in the calculation.

What do you mean, I can't count? 8)
