I can't be too sure of all the updates it does because I downloaded my update when I bought my unit and didn't really see the old settings but I do know that it is supposed to enhance the Post Code search, it also changes your Freeway setting to Motorway and also the maps are supposed to be updated, it also changes a lot of the 'settings' options whih are a great help so giving you more choice. I know when I put it onto my colleagues unit for him he noticed a vast difference, so I recommend you do install it, as it must have some effect or they wouldn't go to the trouble of making it available. (I have heard there is supposed to be yet another Pack soon, we shall see).
Sorry not to be much help but maybe someone else reading this may be able to give you more help.
Regards

By all means load the SP1 as it is an improvement, but the maps are NOT updated. |

If your in the states and live in a big city I wouldn't install it..
From what I can see it has made it nearly impossible for me to select a destination. (suposed "House number inhancement") .
Example. version 3.0027 which it was shipped with.
You do a lookup of "Main Street" in Houston, Tx.
It would list
"0-200 Main street"
"201-500 Main street"
"501-800 Main street"
and so on.....
If you knew your house number 232 then you picked "201-500 Main Street" and then proceded to enter 232 as the house number and you were now ready to head to your destination.
Now Version 3.1002??? whatever the current patch80 is in the past week.
You do a search for "Main Street in Houston, Tx"
It now list....
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
"Main Street"
and so on...
The house number you're looking for is 1435..
So which one do you pick ??????
If you pick the wrong "Main Street" , when you go to enter the house number it'll tell you it can't find it.. Which means now you have to go throught process again picking a different "Main Street" until you guess the correct one.
I all most took a hammer to the frikkin thing because I was so frustrated with it.
I reported the problem to Navman's lame support group.
They suggested I not enter the name of the town and look for the street that way.... Oh, so I now have a listing of 800 Main streets throughout Texas to pick from. |

I was way behind in installing SP1, I just did, it went in perfectly well, could'nt recommend it more. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.
..............Route Type
Quickest.......Maximum Left.
Preference for Motorways & Freeways...More Often......Maximum Right.
Preference for Urban Roads
