Having Looked into the possibility of buying USA maps, I intend to purchase them from Navman themselves. Unless there is another supplier who could get them a little cheaper or more to the point, just Florida and the East Coast, (but i'm sure navman dont split there maps as Fla & EC is on CD 3)
150 quid here or what in dollars in the USA if there available from somewhere actually in the US as stand alone maps, without buying a unit as well, anyone know if they are?
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the navman software for the PC to run the programme from the US purchase of the discs as opposed to the UK version where no serial number or key is needed when bought as a new unit.
IE when i loaded my first new SD card it never asked for a key or serial, but i have been informed that for the usa mapto go on a SD Card here into a UK unit it must have the keys.
I've mastered the UK Navman at last, and to make it complete i want to insert my EAST COAST & FLORIDA maps to work in the USA but i want to test them here so i can get off the palne into the hire car and drive off with directions.
So can anyone fill me in with some info.
What i have heard is the 510 requires a 15 digit code but on the box there is a 20 digit code, can anyone shed some light on this.? please
Help me if you can, as I'm going to fla in 3 weeks, thanks. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

Well...Mine were working - loaded with N & S Florida, tooke me from Tampa to Anna Maria Island no problem.....unitil the unit locked up on me :x
As I undersatnd things...the maps are registered to the unit, so the maps that came with the 510 don't need the key, as they are already registered. Add new maps, and it askes for the key - then has all the maps on the CD ready to go.....I think
