is there any such software you can get to use with TTN3 to convert o/s grid ref's

Please note that at the moment TomTom Navigator versions above 3.07 do not support navigating to Lat/Lon

I have used this for ages and it is brilliant.
Sadly it won't work with TT5, so I will not be upgrading.

You're welcome to try my OS GPS Convertor utility if you want to do it on the Pocket PC:

Bear in mind that it uses the "Go to coordinates" screen which is available in TomTom Navigator for Pocket PC versions up to 3.07, but not in version 5 (now there's progress for you!). So my utility will still convert coordinates but not be able to show them in TomTom if you upgrade to 5.
