In Car GPS for use in Europe and Australia

Hi,

I want to buy an in car GPs for a trip around western europe, after which I am returning to Australia and would like to use it there as well.

Can anyone recommend an in car GPS that works in both western Eurpoe AND australia?

CoPilot has maps of Australia - might be worth checking them out.

Sat Nav - wow, things have come a long way since I did a trip around Europe in the proverbial "Fried out Combi". 8)

I haven't used one but I recommend that you take a look at Navman, they are a New Zealand company but I'm sure you won't hold that against us Kiwis. Aussie maps are available.

You will want to get a decent sized memory card for the GPS so you can load all the maps you need. Also be aware that some countries (eg Eastern Europe) are not mapped.

Be sure to read the discussions in the CoPilot forum if you are considering buying that. Personally, I think CoPilot is a pile of junk.
