All the very best Dave and congratulations on your new appointment.
I'm sure ALK will have the flags flying next week having made such a valuable acquisition.
Many thanks for all the help and guidance over the years. _________________ Graham.

Many congratulations on your new post Dave!
ALK knew what they were doing when they hired you - there must be very few people (if any?!) in the World with your knowledge and understanding of the GPS arena.
You will be sorely missed as a team member, but we all hope (DEMAND!) to see you at the GPS Pub-Meets and as a regular on the forums with your ALK hat on! |

Dave
Swapped emails with you about 3 years ago before buying my first GPS and have read the website most weeks since then. Do spend most of my time lurking but have enjoyed reading and learnt alot from this website. The website & forums are a credit to you and those other peeple that must put hours & hours of there own time into making it the site it is today.
Well done all the Pocketgps team and goodluck best wishes for the future to you Dave ALK have gained a valuable asset.
Rgds

@Dave,
Thanks for all your insights and without your efforts the Pocket GPS woudl have taken a lot longer to take off here in the UK.
Good Luck in your new role and say Hi to Dan P for me.

All the very best to you, Dave.
If it wasn't for your detailed reply to my first post on using the Road Angel for GPS purposes two and a half years ago I would still be having regular arguments with the wife in the car!
Cheers |

Good luck in your future endeavours
Without this site I would not have found my sat nav systems to have been so useful over the past year and a half and like many others this site has prevented me from going bald overnight.
Thanks Again
Alan

So ALK are upping the stakes! Could this prove the end of TomTom world domination...?
Still, its a big 'up yours' to those who accused you of having a TomTom bias!
Good luck Dave

This could be the longest thread yet, and well desrved. Dave, I have only been here for 8 months or so but this the best run and best informed technical and advice web site anywhere, on any subject. Credit to the rest of the team who will carry on in the same superb way.
You are a top man Dave very best of luck and I am sure you will help ALK a great deal as well as get great benefit for yourself. Many thanks. _________________ TomTom 720

Dave it will be a sad day when you go. I am sure the team will do you proud and carry on the good work that you started.
Your articles and sound advice have been a great help to me as a new boy. I have learnt a lot from you.
All the best with the new position, I am sure you will do well and I will look forward to the updates on your own site.

Dave
I think we all have to thank you for starting this .So many of us have learnt so much here and had some fun doing it as well .
Good luck for the future (if you have as much effect at ALk as here I may have to junk TomTom and go copilot) _________________ Asus Zenfone 2 twin sim, Garmin Zumo 550, 660 and pocketgps speed camera database
