After successfully loading V5 I have now added the Spoken Warnings.
Whilst they work fine when the "test" is pressed, they do not work on the road when passing different rated cameras.
All I get is a bell and the Gatsco warning - as allocated to Beep 1.
Any Ideas? |

I can't help with the question but I have deleted your duplicate post in another thread asking the same question in case you wondered where it had gone! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Do you still get the problem?
Did you delete or rename the old data.chk file? If renamed what did you call it? _________________ Richard

Richard,
Yes I still get the problem.
First I changed the name of the data chk to "old data chk" before I added the new one.
Now I have removed the old one from the SD card but still no luck.
I have also removed and reloaded the new data chk in case it wasn't correct the first time.
Maybe my map is the problem but how do i Know which version it is?

Richard,
I have just been looking at my map detail and notice that temp cameras have a speed limit adjacent but none of the Gatso have this.

It won't be the map version. The POI's all work on all current maps. The map version is on Page 6 of Preferences/Show Version.
As an afterthought, have you gone into Enable/Disable POI? Does it then display the icon correctly.
When selecting Warn When Near did you tick the box for When Is On Route? Most people leave this unticked to enable the warning when not on a planned route. _________________ Richard

Hi
I checked all the points you raised and all were ok.
However, when I browse my map I see in my local area there are pictures of the Gatso cameras. If i move about 5 miles away the pictures of the camera are replaced by a speed limit sign. If you touch one of these signs it shows "Gatso" 30 or 50 - whatever the limit is.
It appears that in my local area the speeds have not been designated -
if I touch the camera it shows the number of The Gatso.
It seems I have some work to do to report the speed limits to the map boys.
Thanks for your help

hi
you must have all the pocket gps poi's enabled
if you want it to say gatso then the speed limit ie gatso 30 then you will have to disable the poi marked gatso and only use the ones marked gatso 20, gatso 30 etc including gatso tba
if you dont disable gatso the it seems to over ride all the other gatso's and just gives the warning set up for gatso not gatso 20 gatso 30 etc
what you can do however is use gatso when you are 300 yards away and gatso 20/30 etc when you are 150 yards away to give you two warnings for each camera
you will also have to do the same for mobile, mobile 20 etc
hope this helps
